 Chocolate Chip Cookie Mug Mix

From Easy Microwave Desserts in a Mug®

3 tablespoons flour

3 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips

1-1/2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 tablespoon finely chopped pecans

1 teaspoon egg white powder (or meringue powder)

1/8 teaspoon baking soda

Dash of salt

Blend ingredients together and place in a small zipper-type bag if giving as a gift or using at a later date. For a unique gift, place bag of mix and cooking instructions inside a 12-oz. microwave-safe mug that is lined with colorful tissue paper. Include cooking instructions. To Prepare: Microwave 1-1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine in mug until melted. Empty mix into mug and add 1-1/2 tablespoons water; stirring with a fork until blended. Microwave on 60% power for 2 minutes. Let stand in microwave 2 minutes. Remove and let stand until cool enough to eat.

Cowboy Cookie Mix from Quick Gifts From the Kitchen

1-1/3 cups all purpose flour
1-1/3 cups quick cooking oats

1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup pecans, chopped

1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients until well blended. Place mix in a plastic zipper-type bag. Place bag in the center of a red bandana. Draw corners together and tie closed with jute or raffia. Attach cooking instruction tag shown at right. 

Cowboy Cookie Mix

To Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°. Empty mix into a large bowl. Add 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted; 1 egg, slightly beaten; and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Stir to blend thoroughly. Shape into 1” balls and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake 11-13 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet then remove to racks to cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Chocolate Tea Mix From Hand Over the Chocolate!

 

1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

3 tablespoons instant nonfat dry milk

2 tablespoons powdered French vanilla coffee creamer

2 tablespoons unsweetened instant tea

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Blend all ingredients and place in a small zipper-type bag. Recipe makes about 4 servings. To give as a gift, place the bag of mix inside an attractive tin canister. Or place the bag of mix inside a tissue-lined mug. Be sure to attach the instructions for preparing the tea. To prepare: Microwave 1 cup of water (or 3/4 cup for stronger tea) in a microwave-save mug on high power for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until hot. Stir in 3 tablespoons of mix.
